Inspiration is blooming.
Reading some significant steps of the history of the Aztec people, I found out and was excited about the chapter regarding the “Flowers' Wars".
Flowers' Wars is the name given to the battles that took place between the alliance of the Aztec people against some of their traditional enemies. There are different interpretations of the Flowers' Wars and the most popular version sees these battles as an excuse to capture, each on their side, prisoners to be sacrificed in religious rituals. But in truth, this name Flowers’ Wars, began immediately to arouse my curiosity to 360 degrees. In fact, I asked myself, following the letter of meaning:- but can flowers really fight wars among themselves, one against the other? When I then passed in front of the first window of a florist, here came the answer to my question: flowers exhibited, different in colours, shape and size, in my imagination seemed they were fighting their Flowers' Wars, one against the other competing to show their best in a sort of "Vanity Fair" under the brilliant sunlight. Thus "the inspiration has blossomed" and the idea to create a collection of hand painted mirrors where the outer frame becomes the land suitable for painting, in fact, the Flowers' Wars. In fact the flowers, flesh, sensual, sometimes disturbing, "fighting" and contending for a deserved place in the decorative frame, in a fantastic formula, dream that can overcome the barriers of rationalism, to transport the viewer in a real world without borders, expanded.
